The V&A's Digital Design Weekend takes place in the world-famous South Kensington museum from the 18th to 20th September 2026. The Computer Arts Society will have a strong presence with talks, demos and an exhibition of work. Admission is free.

Join CAS members Sean Clark and Genetic Moo for two drop-in activities over the weekend: play with simple drawing machines inspired by Harold Cohen, and interact with artworks influenced by Frieder Nake, Georg Nees, A. Michael Noll and Vera Molnár. Two screens will also present work by current CAS members.

About the Hosts

Genetic Moo

Artist, Group, Cascom

Genetic Moo is a collaboration between creative coding couple Nicola Schauerman and Tim Pickup. Together, they create large-scale interactive installations for museums and galleries which encourage experimentation and play. Their touring exhibitions include: Magic Place, an ever-changing digital environment inspired by the magic of home computing and the golden age of video games, and Microworld, a digital ecosystem filled with creatures which respond to the audience. These large-scale exhibitions are produced by KitMapper. They have received numerous grants, commissions and awards and their work has featured in museums and galleries all over the UK.

Sean Clark

Artist, Curator, Educator, Researcher, Cascom, Eva Author

Sean Clark is an independent artist, curator, and researcher based in Leicestershire, UK. His artwork explores interaction and connectedness through the construction of audiovisual systems presented on screen, as installations, and as prints. He is the director of Interact Digital Arts, the curator of the Computer Arts Archive and Chair of the Computer Arts Society. He holds a PhD in Computational Art from De Montfort University, where he studied under computer art pioneer Ernest Edmonds, and in 2016 was co-winner of the Lumen Prize for 3D/Sculpture and the Art.CHI Digital Art Prize.
